I think, that ice crust thick and thin both. Vast majority of ice shield are thick, but in some places it may be thin enough. It is possible if to guess existence of salt lakes near the Europa's surface. I think that this guess not unreal. IMHO.

There May be Deep Cracks on that Ice Crust Leading Direct below Ocean 😉 Just A rough Idea. I posted with some detail in general Forum about this.
